FINE ART
The recent work of animal drawings is largely inspired by the exhilarating originality of the Lascaux cave paintings. The work has grown to include modern creatures, ruminating on the forms of both animals and insects. The figures are very simplified and explore line, form, texture and color. The Lascaux work seeks to explore, from my perspective, the originality of their line, shape and form. In either case, it’s an attempt to capture some of the spirit in animals that has nourished humankind for thousands of years.
